Special Notice to all Blue River Water Customers

August 2023 Special Notice

Dear Blue River Water District Members,

As residents, in addition to being Board Members, we recognize there are concerns with the elevated fire risk coming this weekend and the high heat that will persist into next week. During this time of extreme drought and heat the water district is allotting every property “6,000” gallons with no charge for those gallons for the month of August. Any usage over the allotted amount will be charged at the regular rates. We encourage property owners to water responsibly during this time.

The District is urging customers who are watering to please do so during the hours of 7am-9am and 6pm-8pm.

Watering should be done for no more than 20 minutes in the morning and evening. Please avoid watering during the middle of the day. If the water district finds someone consistently watering outside of these times, we reserve the right to void the free water allotment and charge the regular rate for the month.
